Following on from this success, Corvo X will be available for export customers in 2026.
“It is an incredible time to be developing a game-changing competitive advantage to our Australian service men and women, as well as having this technology available to our trusted international partners.” Said Amanda Holt, SYPAQ Systems Chief Executive Officer. “In a world with continually changing capability demands, we are absolutely delighted to prove that Australian Defence Industry can support allied nations through AUKUS and other multi-lateral agreements.”
SYPAQ’s Corvo X SUAS utilises sovereign Australian technologies such as CODAN|DTC’s recently announced Sentry 6161 mesh radio, providing secure and reliable communications technologies within the truly autonomous system. “Collaborating with SYPAQ to deliver our Australian manufacture, combat proven, low latency communications technology is critical to our future export programs. DEF129 is an exciting opportunity bringing this important sovereign communications capability into service” stated Matt Jones when asked about how CODAN|DTC is partnering with SYPAQ on this exciting journey.
Through the delivery of the successful Precision Payload Delivery System (PPDS) “Cardboard Drone” SYPAQ has forged a trusted relationship with AUSTRADE and the Defence Export Control Office (DECO) which underpins confidence to enter the export market with Corvo X. Notably, Bellinger Systems, a SYPAQ-owned company, has proven delivery of key Tactical Datalink technologies with Leonardo DRS (USA), providing confidence that the delivery of AUKUS capabilities can be delivered to all parties successfully.
SYPAQ celebrated this collaboration success at the 2025 Avalon Australian International Airshow on Tuesday 25th March by having announced that Corvo X will not only be delivered to the ADF under DEF129 in 2025 but will also be export ready for international customers in 2026.
