Bellinger Systems Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the signing of a truly historic agreement with Leonardo DRS (USA) to bring world-class Tactical Data Link technologies into Australia. The signing of this long-term Agreement underpins several recent contract awards to deliver and integrate Link 22 Tactical Data Link (TDL) technologies into the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
General Manager of Bellinger Systems, Dave Hartshorne, stated “this is a truly remarkable time in the history of Bellinger Systems. Now we can demonstrate the ability to not only integrate TDL technologies, but work collaboratively with International OEM’s such as Leonardo DRS to develop interoperable solutions for the ADF. Link 22 TDL capability requirements are rapidly approaching us and Bellinger is on the front foot to support the ADF’s need in this area.”
“We are proud to closely work with Bellinger Systems in support of the Australian Defense Forces. Through this agreement, Leonardo DRS will be able to provide our Australian customers the high level of customer engagement and support we are known for with our military customers in the United States and allies around the world,” said Mike Gregory, Vice President at the Leonardo DRS Airborne and Intelligence Systems business. “The customer focus and collaborative culture of Bellinger Systems and Leonardo DRS has proven to be an ideal match with proven success, including the GA-205 modernisation program that serves as the foundation for the broader Link-22 relationship.”
This agreement will allow Bellinger Systems to procure, integrate and support Leonardo DRS technologies to provide more effective and timely delivery of Link 22 and other TDL operational requirements for the ADF. “This is exactly where Bellinger Systems core capabilities come to the fore in leveraging our 25+ year pedigree in integration of Link 11, Link 16 and various other high frequency transmission technologies to bring a truly world-class Link 22 capability to the hands of our ADF personnel,” said Dave Hartshorne.
Importantly this builds further on the current GA-205 Time Division Multiplexer modernisation and delivery program which Bellinger has collaborated with Leonardo DRS on. This program is in the middle of formal qualification activities and will deliver 100 GA-205 units to the ADF in 2024/25.
